It’s a classic narrative where a mysterious girl, having clearly escaped a terrible fate, makes an unscheduled appearance at a well-to-do family’s birthday celebrations for their favoured son – quietly directing his girlfriend to the truth about him. Which perfectly suits the theme of Skylar Grey’s song. It’s all about exacting revenge.
