Blake Claridge’s video for English alt-folkies A Band Of Buriers’ Filth sees him move confidently into short film territory. In fact, it’s very powerful – the story of a young man and woman, living together in a country cottage, that builds to a horrific, unexpected climax.
Initially it appears that the story – written Rob Hayes and the band – is all about the deteriorating relationship between the couple, played by Lily Loveless and Matthew Lewis – the latter best known for playing Neville Longbottom in the Harry Potter movies.
But it becomes clear that a human bone, to which the girl is strangely attached, is playing a darkly pivotal role in that relationship. And we’ll find out what part of the human anatomy that bone comes from…
